Daca Despierta

Somos LOUD focuses on uplifting Latin communities through Education, Advocacy & Motivation. Immigration has been an ongoing issue in our nation. DACA is an administrative relief that protects eligible immigrants who come to the United States. When they were children from deportation DACA gives undocumented immigrants: 1) protection from deportation, and 2) a work permit. The program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) continues to be under attack. We initiated a campaign called DACA Despierta in order to continue to protect the program from terminating. DACA Despierta means, “To wake up and show them who we really are!” We must continue to push forward with the program, elevate our Gente & keep elected officials accountable. A pathway towards citizenship is what we are demanding. We brought together an incredible group of individuals who do the work in our communities. Not only are they Entrepreneurs, Creative Artists and Writers but they are Undocumented Leaders paving the way for the next generation.
